This scene was common feature in the City of Rome in the early seventies especially at the Rome Via Veneto nerby the Central Railway station. That meeting perhaps boasted the bersih spirit to fight for what the reformation of the country's electoral system besides trying to champion democratic freedom and social justice as enshrined in the constitution.The unrelenting and adamant attitude of the authorities and the ngos to compromise in solving the issue has caused uncertainties and tensions.Should emotions are allowed to flare up and that illegal gatherings proceed unabated, not only BN political and the opposition leaders and ngo organizers would be jointly responsible for any unforeseen ugly incidents should erupt therefrom. Now that the government leaders have delegated the power to the police handle the issue. Hopefully the precedence shown by government supporters in Penang demonstration yesterday serve as yard stick to guide police tackle and eventualities that may result from thee 9th mass procession.
